Food Pantry in Piqua Announces Extended Hours

New Path extended the days the food pantry will be open to two days a week at the Bistro, located at 1876 Commerce Drive in Piqua, Ohio. The pantry will now operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00pm-3:30pm and the doors will be open at 1:00pm. Attendees must bring picture identification and a piece of mail postmarked within the last thirty days to receive service.

Council on Rural Services (CORS), owner of the Bistro, provides Head Start services to children ages 0-5, alternative high school graduation paths through its ACES program, and Gateway Youth services to preteens and adolescents requiring social or education assistance to attain successful and productive adult status. Collaborating with New Oath furthers the two non-profits’ mutual goal of assisting families in poverty.

CORS Family Advocates will be available during pantry hours to work with pregnant mothers and families with preschool children who may qualify for Head Start services due to income, special needs, or foster parenting. Representatives knowledgeable about the financial, physical, and spiritual resources available through New Path will also be present.
